Recipe #1: Refreshing Moringa Juice Drink
Moringa JuiceGet a few moringa leaf fronds. Wash and pluck out the leaves from the stem.
Let boil the leaves for a few minutes to extract the green substance.
Take out the leaves. Do not throw it as it can be used in other recipes that we will share later.
Let the liquid cool off. You may add some ice to make it cool.
Squeeze a lemon and add sugar or honey.
If you do not have fresh leaves, you can use powdered leaves instead.
Even your children who do not like to eat vegetables will love it.
Recipe #2: Moringa-Rice Coffee Drink
Roast some rice grains until golden brown. Do not burn. Remove from the fire once there is a nice aroma that is emitted. Set aside in a bottle for several uses. Note the color, it is only golden brown and has a nice smell.
Boil some moringa leaves. Once water is green, add a scoop of the roasted rice. Let the rice boil for a couple of minutes or until a nice aroma can be smelled.
Strain the liquid into a cup. You may use the discarded solids as compostable materials for your garden.
Add some sugar or honey. You may add a creamer or milk.
Now, you have an aromatic coffee alternative.
